Terms of Service & End User Licence Agreement

These Terms of Service and End User Licence Agreement (together, the "Terms") govern your use of the OfficeSnap iOS application and the website at officesnap.app (the "Service"). OfficeSnap is operated by Jindong Chen, a sole independent developer ("OfficeSnap", "we", "us"). By downloading, installing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

OfficeSnap turns a casual selfie into a studio-grade professional headshot (for LinkedIn, a resume, or a business card) or a passport/visa-spec ID photo (证件照), with a selectable background colour and print size. You upload one ordinary photo and receive a polished result in around 30 seconds. No photographer or studio is required.

2. Licence to use the app

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the app on Apple devices that you own or control, for the purpose of creating professional headshots and ID photos for your personal or professional use. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell, or sublicence the app except as permitted by applicable law.

3. Eligibility

The Service is not directed to anyone under the age of 16. You must confirm in the app that you are 16 or older to use OfficeSnap. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you are not yet 16, do not use the Service.

4. Acceptable use

In addition, you agree not to use the Service for any illegal, harassing, hateful, sexual, or deceptive purpose. You are solely responsible for the photos you upload and must have the right to use them.

• Do not upload images of any person who has not explicitly consented.
• Do not impersonate any person or create misleading or deceptive likenesses.
• Do not generate or distribute deepfakes.
• Do not use the Service for unlawful, harassing, hateful, or sexual content.

Violations of the consent and anti-impersonation rule above may lead to immediate and permanent termination of your access without notice.

5. Your content and ownership

You retain ownership of the photos you upload and of the outputs you generate. You grant OfficeSnap a limited licence to process your uploaded photo solely to operate and deliver the Service to you — for example, to run the generation and return your result. We do not use your photos to train any AI model, and we do not sell your photos. See our Privacy Policy for details on how your data is handled and deleted.

You are responsible for how you use your outputs. In particular, if you generate an ID photo, you must verify that it meets the official specification of the relevant authority before submitting it for any official purpose. OfficeSnap does not guarantee acceptance by any passport, visa, or government office.

6. AI-generated content disclaimer

Outputs are AI reinterpretations of your photo and are disclosed as AI-generated. They may not be photographically exact and may differ from your original appearance. You are responsible for reviewing each output and deciding whether it is suitable for your intended use.

7. Purchases and refunds

OfficeSnap sells one-time consumable credit packs only. There are no subscriptions and no auto-renewing charges. One credit equals one generation. Some free credits may be provided on first use.

• pack50 — $24.99 for 50 credits

All purchases are made through Apple In-App Purchase. If a generation fails, the credit used for it is automatically refunded to your balance. Any other refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with App Store policy; please contact Apple for those requests.

8. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party providers to operate (for hosting and storage, model execution, safety screening, in-app purchases, and rewarded ads). Your use of the Service may also be subject to the terms of those providers and of Apple. The processors we use are listed in our Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any output will meet your expectations or any official requirement.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, OfficeSnap will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid to us in the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

11. Apple as third-party beneficiary

You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and OfficeSnap only, and not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this EULA and, upon your acceptance, will have the right to enforce it against you. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be reflected in the app or on this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
